Day #12 of summer break

Beans & I decided to relax out back and enjoy our summer!  Here's me ^ and here's Beans below!

 Beans absolutely loves sticks!
On Ben's pinky is a huge dragon fly that was just chilling and he let Ben pick him up and hold him for awhile.
Tonight we had fun, I had fun, chasing the ducks & chickens around until they went into the coupe.  Beans was a good helper too!  In the picture, Ben was able to get Bo and let her into the coupe.  She's so pretty and fully grown now too!

Day #10 of summer break

Beans and I got to relax for a bit, then we cranked up the 80's rock and danced around cleaning the house the whole day.  We got the family room, living room, entry way, kitchen, and the dining room finally clean!  Whew, you get behind on one thing and the whole house turns into a mess!  Yuck!  Goodbye mess.

Day #11 of summer break

Nettina & her wall of boxes (cause she threw stuff away to make room to pack what they want to keep)!
Me & J-man.  So glad he's feeling better!  We had lots of fun play time & he even got a bath!
I found a door that belongs to some giants.  If anyone recognizes the door and/or has misplaced it, contact my sister!
This little guy I found while in the garage watching the kids & helping Nettina.  It is a praying mantis if you cannot see it clearly!  It is white in color too.
I'm such a good babysitter!  At least I'm not sitting on them, but beside them works well!  We were a great team of cheerleaders for Nettina!

Day #9 of summer break

Today I was sitting in front of the window and Beans hopped up on the window sill, and this is the cute pic that I got with his body behind the blinds but head & tail end out!  :)
Happy Father's Day!  For my Benjamin I got 3 baseball gloves, 2 bats and 1 case of softballs!  We're ready for the softball season!  (He only got to keep 1 glove of course, but I got him a few options to pick from).
I painted the baseboard for the bathroom.  It's coming along!
Beans was feeling overworked and needed a break too!
Silly puppy ran through my baseboard painting area and got his little paws covered with paint!  :)

Day #8 of summer break

Lots of relaxing...
... and lots of fixing!

Day #7 of summer break

Today was supposed to be a day of babysitting, it turned out to be only 10 minutes.  Easy!

Then Ben & I got the rest of our project stuff from Home Depot and got to work!

Down goes the bathroom light fixture.  How many old bathroom ideas do you see here?

Every time Ben leaves Beans misses him so much.  Here he is laying down waiting for Ben's return from Home Depot yet again.

And then tonight we went on a date.  We doubled with our friends Stephanie & Brandon and we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory.  Then we came home and talked in bed forever!

Can you tell who's who?

Love the bathroom!  I can't wait for the final reveal!  :)

Day #6 of summer break

Today was eye doctor day.  I am happy to report that my prescription has not changed!  HOORAY!  Same frames & lenses and just a reorder for my contacts.  The only thing I hate about eye doctor visits is the dilating eye drops.  UGH!  My pupils get so large.  Therefore the sunglasses inside.  :)

Also for today I met with my interior designer/teacher friend and she helped me plan out some of the rooms that are stumping me for colors & accessories.  So excited!  We went to Home Depot and looked at color selections too.

So then that leaves me pumped and ready to go, so what did I end up doing last night since the mud dried? That's right, I painted the bathroom!  Its the same beautiful summer sandcastle color that is in the entry.  :)  I cant wait to add the accent colors and show you what I've done!

Day #5 of summer break

Today was visiting friends and snuggles with Beans & Ben.

While I was at Art Class Ben surprised me by doing the second layer of mud so I'm a day ahead of schedule for finishing by Saturday night!  :)
Here are some of my art pieces:
Plus, today was also a day of .50cent cones!  Hooray for summer projects & yummy ice cream treats!  I think this cone thing is becoming a tradition since we did it all the time last summer too!  :)

Day #4 of summer break

On my schedule for today it said, "MUD OR DIE!" As if to give me a great incentive to live and get it done and over with!

Previously this spring I had taken down the yucky paneling and it had been nasty looking ever since.  Well, I did it.  The first layer is done!
Behind the sink shots (the sink hasn't been plugged in for a month or so now so it was easy enough to slide further away from the wall).
Around the floor/wall vent, and look, there's a cute dog photo bombing my pic!  ;)
Then Ben got home and graciously helped by removing the toilet so I could mud behind, around, etc it.  We carried away the sink too so we can sell it and get a pretty one!
The corner looks great!  No more nasty holes in the walls corners!

And one last shot from as far back as I could get of the wall!  :)  Yes, you can see some parts are dry and other parts are wet!

Day #3 of summer break

Hooray for dates with nephews!  I loved going with my sister & nephew to the park in Provo to splash around with them!

We smiled all together! And a sister smiles of sorts!

Here's J-man on the right and me "walk" chasing him.
Then after we were soaked, we dried out by playing on the play ground.  I got to push J and teach him to pump his legs.
Then back over to get soaked some more, and by this time lots more people had appeared.  It was a great fun day!
