Day #135

I love this spring outfit & got a bunch of likes on it today at work too!

Pink flower in my hair, blue t-shirt with white undershirt, pink pants, blue shoes, and a matching blue necklace and earring set! 

Well, I'm going to post again in a week and a half.  I'm off for spring break and I cant wait! :)

Day #134

I wore brown boots, blue skinny jeans, yellow shirt, with a striped vest, heart necklace and berry colored lips!

My hair is up in a bun and in the picture you can see the pretty lace on the back of the vest!

Day #133

Today I wore my black boots, black with horizontal red stripes leggings, a black tank top with a red shirt over, and a black belt!  My hair is curly and pulled up in a poof on top.  I have on red lipstick too!

Just another pet update.  We have a lot going on at our house this spring!

I've told you about our:
4 chicks (Buff Orpingtons).
2 ducks (Cayuga).
and now... 2 egg laying hens! 

They are each very different birds:

We think this one is a Red Sex Link.
And the one below a Black Polish Hen with missing head feathers.

We adopted them last night. 

Day #132

Today I wore brown & pink shoes, my nerd skirt, blue shirt, and brown sweater! 


My hair is in a high side pony too!




Also, an update.  Our chicks are growing so big!

And we got 2 Cayuga Ducks!

Day #131

I wore:

Red shirt, jean skirt, striped socks, red shoes and I received 2 dozen red roses!

Day #130

Today I wore brown boots because it was snowing again today, orange skinny jeans, blue t-shirt and a purple hoodie to keep me warm!  I have on a white heart ring and yellow hoop earrings. 

My hair is curly and french braided across my head from side to side and down in a braid. 

Today for teacher appreciation from the PTA I received a cute package of markers!

Day #129

Day 3 of Teacher Appreciation week!  I received red roses today!

And from the PTA I got a flower shaped cookie (I took a bite out of it):

Today I wore black boots, jeggings (leggings that look like jeans), a white sweater over a black t-shirt with a black belt, gray earrings, and a black bead necklace. 

My hair is straight and pulled to the side in a pony with a black flower beside it.  Also my pop of color today is my red lipstick!  Kisses!

Day #128

2nd day of teacher appreciation week!  I feel so appreciated!

The wall outside my classroom looks like this.  On each flower are the students's pictures.

At the top of it all it says this:

And the flower next to my name is my picture too!

Today I wore black boots, black tights, a pink skirt, a black & gray striped shirt, with a black vest, a black belt (not in karate), a pink heart necklace, a pink bracelet and my hair is straight down today.

I am standing outside for my picture today to show you the white vinyl fence Ben & I (mostly Ben) have been working on.  The forecast tomorrow says rain so we want to get the fence up before all the pre-dug holes wash away.  Also behind me are silver poles that are going to be for the chain link fence.  Where I'm standing will be the raised garden beds and behind the chain link all the way to the white fence will be the orchard and barn/animal section!  We are so excited!

And to top off a wonderful appreciation week, the PTA had our room moms come in to watch our class so we could enjoy a breakfast for the first hour of the day!  There they presented us with yet another gift!

I'm guessing this year's theme is Blooming & Growing.  Cant wait to see how the rest of the week goes!

Day #127

Today was busy & good.  I worked hard at school and then I worked hard in the yard with Ben putting up fences.  It was hard work but very rewarding as it will look great when it's done!

So anyway, I wore a khaki skirt, white t-shirt, a gray shirt, gray sneakers, a black necklace with matching earrings, and my hair is wavy and pulled up!

Also, this week is teacher appreciation week and I received this beautiful pink umbrella from the PTA!  With it came this cute card:

Day #126

Sorry for the late post, but here's my Friday outfit!  I wore white shoes, white tights that have green shamrocks on them, a gray skirt, a white shirt with a white blouse over it, a green & white striped scarf, a green bracelet made out of shamrocks, a green heart ring, leprechaun earrings, and my hair is up in a pony tail!  Hooray for almost St. Patrick's Day and a week of green!

Day #125

Hooray for beautiful spring weather!  It is 72 degrees here in SLC!  Wahoo!  Now quick, someone promise me no more snow till November!  I could totally get used to this lovely sunny weather!

Today I continue with my green St. Patrick's Week and wore:

Green pants, black shirt with a gray striped: green, red, and blue tank top over it.  I have on a shamrock pin, red lips, and green fingernails!  My hair is in a braided side pony.

And on my feet... SANDALS!  My toes are screaming Hooray that they can breathe again!  So in honor of my toes:

And what a family I come from!  Today we passed around texts & emails wishing each other a very Happy Pie Day!  (PI day!)

Day #124

I am wearing green today!  I'm getting more and more excited for this green event!  I have on green shoes, a green diagonal striped skirt, green shirt, and white vesty-thingy (name it anyone?).  I have on a heart necklace and green earrings.  As for my hair, it is curly and pulled up in bobby pins and then some more up in a clip! 

Chicks

On Saturday Ben brought home 4 chicks!

They are so tiny right now!

Beans has been trying to get used to them being around!  One of them got a puppy kiss:

And today he's been watching them and was so curious that we let them play together:

He is a good boy and really understands the meaning of "leave it."  Thank goodness we trained him so fast! 

Ben's been working in the barn to get the chicken coop & rabbit cages ready.  I'm so grateful for his hard work and visions of our completed homestead! 

Just in case you were wondering our chickens are buff orpingtons.  There are so many varieties and these gals seem pretty easy to tend & bond with!

Day #123

Too bad Day #123 couldn't be as easy as ABC. 

Today I wore:

Black boots, an olive green skirt, purple shirt, and a green striped lose over shirt.  I have on a heart necklace, green earrings, a side pony that is curly and has a green ribbon in it! 

I'm standing by a picture frame that says the following:

Our book club hostess for the month made one for each of us!  This past month the book club book was The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin.  What an inspiration! 

So, I'll share one thing that made me happy today: Ben came to eat lunch with me!  He's such a sweetie and I love him so much!  We had fun talking and sharing our days.  Let's just say it made my day turn around and the PM class was wonderful!  Thanks Ben!  I love that you're my happy thought!

All this happiness reminds me of Peter Pan!  Well, I'm off to never-land for now!  Tootles!

Day #122

Today I wore my hair up in a bun, black ball earrings, white shirt, a green scarf that has clovers on it, a black skirt, and my black boots. 

What a wonderful Monday for me!  I got so many assessments done and the kids did great work while I tested!  Its days like these that I love my job!  :)

Day #121

Friday!  Can I get a HOORAY!?!?!

Today I have on a blue shirt, pink/black/white/gray scarf, black pants, and black shoes!  My hair is up in a clip and straight today!

Day #120

First of all, a shout out to my wonderful husband for his awesome dry-walling in our home!  :)

I picked out a fun, bright outfit today for a day of meetings.  Silver sparkle shoes, green pants, cream shirt with bright neon yellow shirt over, and a purple plaid sweater.  I'm wearing a yellow neon heart ring, purple flower earrings via polka-dotty place @ etsy shop, and a pony tail with matching ribbons attached!  My hair is up in a side pony too!

Hooray for tomorrow being FRIDAY!!

Day #119

So, yes I used a tripod today and got the table in it, oops!  Well, I'm wearing black flats, black tights, a black & floral print skirt, a white lace tank top, a pink long sleeved shirt with a black cardigan over, a pink bracelet, black bead earrings, my hair is pulled up in a bun with a pink flower at the top!

My Mom texted me this morning, "Happy Hump Day!" And so I'd like to pass that along to all of you!  Happy Wednesday!  :)

Day #118

I wore black boots, white tights, black skirt, an orange button up shirt, with an orange polka-dotted tank top under it, I have on my orange necklace, and an orange heart ring!  My hair is curly and pulled up on top in a clip!

I'm ready for bright colors & spring!

Day #117

Today was a brown kind of day.

I wore brown boots, brown tights, brown skirt, cream shirt, brown layered top, with a brown belt, a brown bracelet, and brown hair (kinda can't change that one too much)!  I also have on a pop of color-the blue necklace & matching blue earrings!  Also my hair is up in a side pony!  I love that hairstyle! 

And for school today, I made & brought in a brown cake to share with the teachers!  Hooray for a successful Brown Monday!  :)

Day #116

I wore gray boots, gray & white striped socks (to match the sweater), purple skinny jeans, a gray tank top with a gray long sleeved t-shirt over, and then the sweater with gray & white stripes.  I have on a long hoop necklace and spiral earrings.  My hair is curly and pulled up on the top of my head in a clip. 

TGIF! And have a great weekend! 

PS Beans loves being in my pictures lately too.  He just also seems to sneak in there!  :)
