Day #21 of summer break

Today was wiring day.  Ben is drilling holes through the boards in order to pull the wiring through to add lighting in our family room.

Now we do not have wires hanging down from the ceiling because the the previous home owner just tucked the wiring under the drywall.  Thank goodness my husband has a good work ethic and likes to do things right!

Not to gross anyone out, but these are the layers of dust we got this month in our vacuum.  You can see the different room layers and work project layers of our house projects!  :)  What a fun way to document our progress.

 Then more sleeping for Beans.  He's adorable!

These are our new lights.  The one in the middle is no longer wired in and will be taken down.  We wanted lighting in each section of the room.  So two on one side of the beam and two on the other side of the beam.  And we still have lamps everywhere too so this room will be bright!!

Day #20 of summer break

Day of snuggles! I love my Beans!  He's the cutest dog in the world and I love him so much!

Day #19 of summer break

Today was cupcake day at Stephanie's house! She had prepped zucchini cupcakes that we got to decorate.

We used every decorating tip that she had.  These are some of my hodge-podge cupcakes that I had a blast decorating!  What a fun day!

Day #18 of summer break

Lots of relaxing today after I went into school for a few hours to say goodbye to some teacher friends and also grab some supplies.

I painted some new ideas on canvas and also painted a shelf for my bathroom that'll go above the toilet.

Day #17 of summer break

 I love sitting by the peaceful lake in the morning watching my Benjamin fishing!

 He got 3 fish this morning.

 Here's a really big one he couldn't quite catch.

 Here's Beans and I napping in the sun.  I am so at one with the ground/nature when I'm out there in it!  But seriously, I had just finished my hip stretches which are still giving me problems.  :(

Day #16 of summer break

 Beans got tired out and decided to rest in Ben's bag.  He fit perfectly in there!

And now, my favorite part, I now introduce the Beans Burrito!  It got very chilly so here are the layers Beans has on: his sweater, Ben's sweater, and my sweater.  3 layers!  I love my cute puppy!

Day #15 of summer break

Day #180

Bathroom Reveal

It is not done quite yet, but I love it thus far!  Here's all our hard work:

 Yellow stripes and cream colored walls.  A new light fixture, a new mirror & vanity set, new knobs, hand towel holder, new bath towel rod, and lots of paint!

 In some of the pictures, you can see the baseboard I painted, Ben put it up and it looks so crisp & awesome looking!

I have yet to put up the curtains, I need to put up some cobalt blue shelves above the toilet, and some pretty flowers in the box above the shower!  I'm planning on adding a few more stripes to the cupboards, etc.

Day #14 of summer break

Beans & I worked outside with Ben all afternoon.  We put cardboard down and mulched on top of it from the mulch we made in a pile last fall.

This is the end of the mulch pile.  We have enough left to finish out the rest of the paths for the garden.

Then Nettina called & they came up for dinner and fun outside time!

Time to see the chickens, the bunnies & collect eggs.

J-man is getting really good at collecting the eggs!

Then we had a bonfire & s'mores.  YUM!

Nice relaxing family time!

Last of all we had sparklers!  Hooray!  What a fun first day of summer!  Lots of work & lots of playing too!  :)

Day #13 of summer break

I got to babysit my nephew Jared today!  Hooray!  We did lots of fun activities!

We got to feed the chickens & gather eggs.

We also played Fireman Sam!

Then we went inside for popcorn time!

Hooray for Magic School Bus on Netflix!

Later after he got picked up, Ben & I met up with Stephanie & Brandon for a Bee's baseball game!

We had tons of fun!  It was a great game!  The Bee's won and had some great plays!
