Leaving the car and prepping for our 9 mile hike to base camp.
My pack is 23 lbs.
Ben's pack was 35 lbs.

Rain.
No more rain.
More rain and a bridge crossing.
I'm pointing to King's Peak. We could see it for miles while we hiked to base camp.
Got to camp and set up tent and hopped in sleeping bags to get warm from all the cold rain.
A new day of fun, fishing, and acclimating.

He kept 3 and they were yummy!
