A Quick Recent Update

Thanksgiving was great! Ben & I went to Grandma & Grandpa Allred's house for dinner. Then we went over to Matt & Nettina's to spend some time with them. We ended up spending the night so our husbands could go out on Black Friday for awesome deals on tools & gifts. We stayed in bed! :) So later that day we all ended up going out shopping. We played Go Fish in isle 7 of Home Depot while sitting on upside down 5 gallon buckets. It was fun! Thanksgiving was great! (Camera was in the shop, so I dont have any pictures of this holiday).

Then the following week, Ben & I went to Provo again, this time for Nettina's 22nd birthday and a farewell for my brother Jonathan, now in the MTC preparing for his mission in Denver North. It was a blast! We all went to the temple, had dinner & party at Phyllis's, and then had a huge family turn out atNettina's to say bubye to Jonathan. So much fun to see & spend time with people I love! (See pictures below).

So another week later (aka this past weekend), Ben & I went to Provo right after I got done with school on Friday so he could do his work at the Provo office. We spent that evening with Matt & Nettina. The husbands went out shopping while we stayed and worked on quilts and such. Then on Saturday we got a letter from Jonathan and went over to the Wilkins for a fun family open house. We got to see a lot of aunts, uncles, cousins, and our grandparents. Fun times to be with everyone! Then we went and stayed the night again at the Smiths'. We watched Christmas movies all night, ate pizza and had A&W rootbeer. This morning, we journeyed through the snow so we could make it home. (See more pictures below).

Now we have 2 more days of work and then we are off on a vacation to Las Vegas (a trip Ben won for us). And from there we will be going to CA to be with his family for Christmas & his birthday.

And in general, we had our offer accepted on the house we want to buy! Yippee! We are both so excited and can't wait for everything to be done. If all goes well, we close January 16th. :)

Below: I got to meet and talk with the author of Fablehaven & Candy Shop War & Pingo. He's so cool! Aka: Brandon Mull & Me!
