TX to Utah

On the road again. This time I have a job to go to and Ben has his internship. So farewell apt 501 & Texas, here we go to Utah!

On the open road again!

When we were on 10 (the road) we were right by the Mexican boarder for quite some time. Here from our car on the freeway we can look over and see the Mexican flag flying in Mexico. We were so close!

We saw boarder patrol everywhere! We even got stopped at a check point in New Mexico. At the check point they had dogs and patrol men everywhere.

This is a fun place I found on the map and then we went past it. Its a town called Truth or Consequences. It makes me wonder what happened there!

The beautiful New Mexico sunset after the first day of driving.

Here we found a place to camp and spent the night nice and toasty in our warm sleeping bags (it happened to be 29 degrees during the night). Desert nights can be quite chilly!

Then we were listening to the CARS soundtrack and we did so as we passed Gallup, New Mexico. Go pull the CD off your shelf and listen to it, cause we were right there too!

Up and over the Continental Divide.

These are rock formations Ben would love to go and climb!

This was a cool formation. It reminds me of James and the Giant Peach. I love that book! So we made it to Arches National Park, hiked around for 3 hours or so (plus driving time included). Then we made it to Nettina's at 10. We stopped in for a bit. Then headed up to SLC to see our place. We didn't like it and we couldn't stay there so we turned around and went back to the Smith's for the night. The next day Ben found us a place and so we spent Saturday moving in and cleaning it up. Now we live in Utah officially. :)
